Important Prescription Information
We now have the facility for patients to order repeat prescriptions online which is linked to our medical system. You will need to attend the surgery with proof of ID; photographic ID if possible to register for this system. If you have any queries please contact the surgery on 0121 421 8400 option 1.
If you are on long-term medication, you may receive a computer printed “repeat prescription slip” attached to your prescription.
You can obtain a repeat prescription without seeing a doctor or nurse by
- Posting your repeat prescription slip in the white box in the foyer
- On-line via the link at the top of this page, please give 72 hours before collection. Please collect after 3pm
- Post your prescription request with a stamped addressed envelope.
Please tick the items you require.
Allow 72 hours notice to enable the prescription to be prepared and signed. Remember to allow longer if you are posting your slip.
Some patients use the local pharmacists to collect their prescriptions, which is quite in order, providing you the patient and not the pharmacist has indicated which items you require.
When your medication is due for re-authorisation this means the doctor or nurse wishes to re-assess your condition before issuing more medication.
There will be a printed message on your slip asking you to make a routine appointment with either the nurse or the doctor within the month and before your next prescription.
It is very important for you to comply with this instruction because the prescription clerk cannot issue your medication unless you have had the relevant review with a nurse or doctor.
